Covid-19 mortality rate and people at risk

The mortality rate of the covid-19 is about 3.4% (estimated by W.H.O around March 3rd) which means that about 96.6% of people who contract it will survive. Some people fully recover within a few days without the need for hospitalization or treatment.

Most of the 3.4% who die are the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions like diabetes, obesity and heart disease.

If you’re young and healthy, please note that not contracting the disease is better than relying on 96.6% chance of surviving it. Also, you can help those who are not so fortunate by washing/sanitising you hands, staying at home and practicing social distancing so that you don’t spread it to them. #StayHome
